Default Possible ECU Capacitor leak?

I have a 1993 LS400 and recently it has been giving me issues. In December I did a massive repair to basically every seal in the engine. While I was doing that I also replaced the gaskets and the starter. After that was done I kept getting engine codes for my MAF sensor and knock sensor 2, both of which were fixed last week. However now, I am getting error 31, which is air flow meter signal. The "new" MAF sensor is pulled from the same year LS and was tested to work completely fine. At first I thought it was my o2 sensors but I'm not getting a code for those. Some people have suggested it's my IACV. One person suggested it may be an ECU related issue such as the capacitors leaking. Currently whenever I drive it, the CEL is on when at idle or slowing down, but goes away once I accelerate. Every now and then, especially after a long drive (an hour or more) it will do this weird thing where it jolts and bucks. Not sure what that's about but some report it as an ECU related issue. Last night I came to a stop sign and the car just shut off completely with no warning or low idle. Started back up right away and drove fine. It will give me a high idle or will start to shake when at idle or low speeds. Additionally, the idle drops super low whenever I put it into park. It used to drop in RPM and then come back up fine, but now it usually drops so low that it dies, unless I give it a little bit of gas to keep the RPM up. Would anyone know how to approach this or what this issue may be?

many many issues you listed, but yes they could be all related to the ECU. have you read the ECU capacitors thread?

if not here it is:

Yeah. I’ve browsed through it and there’s at least 6 things that line up with issues I’m having. I’m just curious if anyone else has had this issue too and if it’s something in addition to the ECU or maybe even a sensor that can mess all this up or something like that.

since you did a big seal overhaul it's possible there is a connector you compromised. the plastics and hoses are very brittle over the years and can get intermittent.

best to check every wire and connector for a solid connection! also check for vacuum leaks.
