Default Radio static

So I have a 1994 ls400, and when i try to listen to my radio, i get static and when i try to use my bluetooth transmitter I get static too. But i notice that sometimes my radio will work but eventually fade into static. I’m thinking that it’s the antenna signal but i have no clue. Any help?

How loud is the static? Is there no volume to the audio, and it's just static when this happens?

Was your car equipped with the cellular phone option or do you see signs that it previously had the phone? For instance, the holder for the phone in or on the center console and the antenna on the rear glass for the phone?
