Cars exist as a cross-section of requirements. Some people need something purely cheap and utilitarian. Some people need to transport large numbers of people. Some want a big engine and a small light fast car. Some want luxury. Durability. etc, etc, etc, etc. Your cross-section is different from mine. And so the people who arrive at the LS400, and especially stick around, generally have a similar set of desires. Nice enough modern enough luxury the car could be a lot younger than it actually is. Quality parts, availability, durability yada yada yada. Doesn't make any of those requirements wrong. It's not particularly safe or fuel efficient compared to modern cars. But it's the set of preferences that we say... yeah, the LS400 will do. Other people have different opinions and arrive at different vehicles.
Minitruck, minivan, sedan, small hatchback, classic car, cheap beater, luxury car or sports car. None of this means anyone has an objectively wrong opinion on what cars they enjoy or require to have for their lifestyle of sets of requirements.
Unless that involves driving an enormous lifted half-ton pickup truck or the new hummer EV as a status symbol to go to the mall, the restaurant and commute to work alone in. I will die on that hill that they are excessive and wrong.
