Hello all, i’d like to ask for some help with my 99 LS400. as of now my headlights work whenever i turn them on but my tail lights do not work when i turn my headlights on. i know all the bulbs are fine because whenever i use my remote start and turn on my headlights, the taillights also work. but whenever i take it off remote start, put my key and put it in reverse my taillights stop working again. i have no idea what the issue could be, all help is appreciated. also ignore the username, apparently all the usernames i’ve mentioned are taken here, lol. i have a video showing all this but it’s too big of a file to upload here unfortunately. thank you once again for the help 🙏🏼

 

i have a suspicion that whoever installed your remote start bypassed or did not property isolate (use diodes on) the parking lights. you'd have to check how that system was installed or remove the parking light connection and see if that remedies the problem.
