I personally haven't had the need to use Tannin but I have read plenty of good reviews about their workmanship.
Taking the cluster out is very easy using only a couple small screwdrivers. You know, those tiny ones people keep in their junk drawer in the house.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
You don't mention what year ya got but this is the cluster removal for a 90-94; http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/elect...ntcluster.html

I havent used Tanin but in my search for a cheaper repair shop I found https://dashboardinstrumentcluster.com/ in Toronto Canada. They have a location in FL USA as well.
They rebuilt my 95 cluster (temp gauge, sticky rpm and speedo needles, needle lights fading), cost me $550 Canadian (vs tanin 700 or 800 US plus shipping - this would have costed me double in Canadian money).
Very happy with the repair and service, trustworthy and knowledgeable people.

Thanks for your replies. I have a 2000 ls400. My thinking is to buy a new rebuilt cluster and then swap them out
so the car won’t have to sit while waiting for them to rebuild my cluster.
