Hello all
i was wondering if any one knew if u could use the 95-00 upper rear baljoint in the 89-94 control arm.
Not sure. The rear knuckles for 95-97 and 98-00 are both different but obviously the hole for the ball joint is the same size if they have the same upper arms. However 90-94 has different knuckles and upper arms so its possible they will not work.

Am I reading this right? I'd like to think I am...
The ball joints in the rear upper control arms, both front and rear, are not serviceable. The entire control arm has to be replaced.

Looking at the dealer parts diagrams and lists, you are reading this correctly.

I'm not sure about 95-00 but for 90-94 you can remove the ball joints for the rear arms.
I replaced mine with Made in USA Moog Problem Solver greaseable ball joints in my rear upper control arms for a 1994. The ball joints are meant for a 2015 Toyota Tacoma front Upper Control Arm.
The post I linked above has pictures of someone replacing them with a tutorial.
