Default Differential question.

Hey Lexus Community,

I have a question ,
I have 1998 lexus ls400 which has a welded differential on it im trynna go back to stock diff cause it’s my daily but can’t seem to find another differential for my year does anyone know if it’s possible if I can use a gs300 differential or it has to be from a 98 ls400? Need help thank you for your time

unlikely a GS300 diff will work as it's normally mated to a 6-cyl with a different trans, plus i read the mount points differ to (LS has 4 where most only have 2 or 3).
