Default 96LS400 Drivers side wiring harness

I have been trying to find information on the forum by searching and am struggling in some cases. While trouble shooting some issues with my son and his car (won't start), I discovered that the wiring harness in the driver side wheel well is damaged. I would probably just solder and fix it but it looks like it has been previously repaired and it was not done very well, so the wiring is an absolute mess. I don't know enough about that specific harness and what all it might connect to. Also, if it is something I might be able to potentially just replace with some work. Looks like there are all kinds of used harnesses out there and I might even be able to snag one from a junkyard. I am planning on getting into it more this weekend and seeing if I can find any tag on the existing harness, but I don't have a great place to work on it and my time is pretty limited with work.
Just wondering if anyone had any information on that harness and/or potentially a wiring diagram.
Appreciate all the helpful advice and information from the forum.

Thanks.

Depending on option package the harnesses are different. Example, cowl harness (this goes into the fender then through the firewall)

82135-50152 (08/1996 - 06/1997)
82135-50160 W(TRACTION CONTROL) (10/1994 - 07/1995)
82135-50161 W(TRACTION CONTROL) (08/1995 - 07/1996)
82135-50162 W(TRACTION CONTROL) (08/1996 - 06/1997)
82135-50170 W(MEMORY ADJUST SYSTEM) (10/1994 - 07/1995)
82135-50171 W(MEMORY ADJUST SYSTEM) (08/1995 - 07/1996)
82135-50172 W(MEMORY ADJUST SYSTEM) (08/1996 - 06/1997)
82135-50180 W(*DPMS & *TRC) (10/1994 - 07/1995)
82135-50181 W(*DPMS & *TRC) (08/1995 - 07/1996)
82135-50182 W(*DPMS & *TRC) (08/1996 - 06/1997)
82135-50190 W(*DPMS & AIR SUSPENTION & *TRC) (10/1994 - 07/1995)
82135-50191 W(*DPMS & AIR SUSPENTION & *TRC) (08/1995 - 07/1996)
82135-50192 W(*DPMS & AIR SUSPENTION & *TRC) (08/1996 - 06/1997)

Best way to repair this is grab a salvage yard harness and splice in/replace the damaged sections. Wiring diagram will not help you much.

Thanks very much LeX2K appreciate the response. This definitely helped me out, got it working this weekend already. At least got it to start now, and appear to have fixed a short.
