I think there is an aftermarket ecu designed specifically for the ucf10/20. Some shop in japan made them a while back, and they are pretty hard to come by.

Mines makes these, they raise the rev limit, adjust ignition timing, and fuel maps. Someone said that its a 30hp gain at the wheels. Don't know if thats true, but I intend to find out soon for you guys.

Also Technosquare (they purchased G-force)http://www.technosquareinc.com/ can remap these. They did a 350Z for turbo magazine a couple months back, and had good results. In a more conservative car such as the LS400, I would not be surprised if good gains can be found.

Maybe someone should contact Technosquare to get their car done, and after seeing the results, we could set up a group buy or something.

It also advances the timing , leans the car out where it was rich and richen's it up where it was lean .
At a guess I would say at least 30 HP , according to mines it makes a 43 HP difference .
The car is just stronger everywhere and I mean a lot stronger , mine will also light up the rear end from a standstill no probs and I have really sticky 265/35/18's on the rear , above 2,500 RPM it really really goes way harder , with throttle to the floor against 3 other standard Celsiors mine just walks away with ease and in any given situation the car is just crisper and quicker .
Worth every cent .
As a note I have had lots of same car owners ride in mine and they all comment nearly straight away how much better it goes .
My brother in NZ has put a Mines ECU in his 93 LS400 that came out of a 93 Celsior , so they do fit both .

Isnt the Mine's ECU like $1,200?? I need a new engine modification anyway...where to buy. I still think the car is rediculously quick for what it is...but if I could add 43HP to my ride...

Dyno results on my car are like 306HP and 316ft pounds of torque with my exhaust and fabbed up intake believe it or not. 43HP would push this thing up to 349HP! =)

Somewhere behind the glovebox. I am slightly in the process of picking up a Mines ECU now, so I may do a stock dyno, then a dyno with the ECU and post the results.

I got a mines in my Celsior.

Definetly makes a big differance to power and drivability feels like the car has lost 1000lbs.

And the sound of a 1UZ at 7500 rpm is fantastic!

My brother has on for sale to suit a ucf10/11 if anyone is interested. He wants about $850AUD for it

The only other option is a piggy back on the standard ecu (ok option, still cant have full control over engine management) I have also heard that over time the ecu is inteligent enough to revert back to normal and counter act the changes made by the piggyback.

Full aftermarket is an option but is expensive and will never be as good as toyotas tuning in my opinion, to many compremises for a little bit of power.

Mines ecu: Its a standard Toyota ecu modded. So retains all standard features what you need for things like airbag suspension/ automatic trans. more power and better fuel economy it will soon enough pay for itself with fuel savings anyway. Its a win win, you just gotta be lucky enough to be able to find one. (i kno where one is )

no, it isn't, just similar to the older IAT resitor scams, this will not actually give you any measurable power, just make the ecu think it's colder than it is.

It claims it reflashes the ecu itself, If it was a true flash unit it wouldnt require permanet installation but a once off reflash to the ecu but this isnt the case so I agree scam just thought I get another opinion on it. But you never know, you can get Geniue Mines Eproms for R32 Skyline ecus for like $40 brand new that totaly retune the ecu and remove restrictions.

Unfortunetly Celsiors arnt as popular as Skylines but thats a good thing haha.
