has anyone upgraded their LS ecu?

thats almost half a mill
p.s. okay, i don't know much about the sc400, but isn't the 1st gen SC400 and the 1LS use the same ecu?? i went on lextreme and check the spec, and they apperantly are the same. so i assume if they make aftermarket ecu, or mod ecu, wouldn't it work on our 1LS???

Oh thats interesting, Can someone confirm that a soarer ecu can be used on a ls with a simple play with the wiring.
This guy makes Soarer ECU mines style in australia. But they are not cheap. Probley same price as a mines, But this one you select different tunes and set a 8000rpm rev limit (dammmm) haha.

For those that don't think ECU tuning does anything.... has clearly never experienced it. No, it's not like adding a turbo to your car. But it does add power, but more importantly makes a significant difference in drive ability as well as improve gas mileage (typically, not in every case).

Well I had my Lincoln LSV8 for the longest time and had it chipped. I know what you mean...it made the shift time alot quicker, reved higher and added a little more power. The response of the throttle was almost instant too, so yes the ECU makes a total difference in driving a car. The main difference in an upgraded ECU is basically ridding itself of alot of its restrictions - hence the added power and higher shift points.
But I mean its not much to brag about peeling from 50kmh...(thats 30MPH) when you have sedans out there that will burn through 2nd gear and bark 3rd.
