so I'm curious. I've owned 2 ls400's and on my first one I did the classic bypass the factory amp with a 2 line output and put subs in the back. but now that I'm ready to do that again, is there a way to get the aftermarket to just power the subs in the back and get the factory little cone to power? non nak system.

The factory amp is controlled by the bus system and it is not open to public. It simply means that someone who can analyze the bus system and make a similar system can use the amp. I once have tried to analyze it using a logic analyzer and I thought I succeeded it but it was not that simple.
