Default 98 LS 400 wigging out when is rains

98 LS 400 wigging out when is rains. Lately the car has been great but last night we got some rain and the ignition will slightly turn on which causes the headlights to come on. When I get in the car I can kinda see the abs light lit up slightly. Also when I’m driving and I press the throttle the blower motor for the heat will shut off then turn back on. When the rain dries up it will be all good again? If someone has any ideas that would be great.

start with the simple things, like checking to see that your battery terminals are tight.

i realize that has nothing to do with the rain but it could just be a coincidence.

The ignition and headlights turn on without touching the car? Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but If that's the case I'd be interested in what the inside of your fuse box looks like. Maybe pull the headlight relay(s) and blow the contacts out with some compressed air? Someone else more familiar with these electrical systems might have a better starting point.

Check the battery terminals first as Tim said.

I worry that the rainwater is not blocked well enough and leaking down to the fuse/relay box under the dashboard.
You probably need to check the part 56117A called dam but this is not an easy job.
