Never knew this. But then still one question remains, pressure builds back up within seconds. So if oil drained back it should be back and well lubricated within seconds. The sounds stays longer.

But can definitively try a new filter

At the end of the day, it's all the same 14 or whatever suppliers for half of this stuff anyway. Half of Toyota's job is just assembling parts from component suppliers like Brembo, Bosch, KYB and Aisin. They come out with some new electronic thing-a-ma-bob and Toyota integrates it into their products.
I wasn't aware Brembo or Bosch supplied any parts on the LS. Maybe they do on other Toyota models I don't know...
I'd guess there are more Denso parts on Toyotas than any other supplier.
Sumitomo is the OE brake supplier for 430's and most 400's..

I don't think they do either - you're right. I was just speaking more generally about the automotive industry & how they assemble components from suppliers.

Brembo does work with Toyota corp - they supply brake hardware for the Lexus RC-F and ceramic brakes for the LFA. But yeah those are wildly different products than any normal Lexus\Toyota.

I had the same ticking on start up, after a gas station oil change . So I took it to the dealer . They use only Factory recommended oil . I remember 5/30 weight, and the factory filter.

Ticking gone . Check the owner's manual .

Now that you've got the right oil and filter you're good to go .

I wouldn't call it randomly imo.

It started thicking randomly at startup after being parked for at least a week. It keeps ticking for several minutes. After that first startup I moved the car on average once every few days and the ticking was less severe as the first time. Perhaps a bit less every time I started it. And then when I took it back on the road, driving it daily, no more ticking.

No changes made.
