Default Battery, trunk.

I have my jump starter in the trunk. Can I open the trunk if the battery is dead?

The starter requires a lot of power from the battery, as do your headlights if the car is not running.
Luckily things like door locks, trunk latch, etc. don’t require much power. If your car won’t start but the battery
isn’t completely dead turn off the headlights, stereo, climate, etc. and you should be ok. Emphasis on “should”…

I had the experience two days ago. The trunk. did open with a battery that was pretty much drained. But key is more of a certainty.
Speaking of jumpers, any suggestions for a good inexpensive one to keep handy?
After my experience I want to keep one permanently handy
Happy Sunday
