If you're new to audio engineering, then maybe you won't hear the difference between a well-tuned system versus a randomly cobbled together system.
If you want to maintain factory sound calibration (which is calibrated in both time domains and frequency domains among several other calibrations, and 2001-2003 system is calibrated specifically for the person in the driver's seat), then you have to keep factory speakers and amp. Factory system provides highly accurate frequency response for the entire range of audible frequencies.
If you don't care about sound quality, run whatever aftermarket amp and speakers you want and/or can afford. Perhaps you can reword your question to be more precise?

More info would help. If you are looking to retain factory speakers but the foam has deteriorated there are kits to fix it. If you want aftermarket there are ways to that as well but there’s multiple ways to do it depending on what your end goal is.
I don’t wholly agree with Stan’s post but it is a remarkable factory system and should be retained if possible instead of just throwing random audio into it.
