$10,000 Restoration!
#2
Wow! I confess I did not watch every minute and jumped around, but OK, these dudes are talented and it is interesting that they redid all the wood pieces in a tone that was never available in 01-06, but with all due respect to these very passionate and hard-working guys, I take a few issues:
1. This is not a car that needs restoration? Though a declining number, there are plenty of gems out there still. No '65 Mustang Shelby here.
2. I am challenging the $10,000. I know they did the labor, but still......
3. Like I mentioned, interesting on the wood, but not my choice. One of my frustrations in 07 is that the light woods were gone. Good bye Bird's Eye Maple and Ecru Bird's Eye Maple (gone in 03).
But still, kudos to them, and as a promotional video...heck ya', I'd hire them!

I'm willing to bet that is $10,000 spent on parts only.
Labour costs for that kind of work anywhere outside China are gonna be at least twice that, and even in China labour is now getting more expensive.
If I could get my LS430 done like that for $10,000 here in the UK, I'd be there like a shot.

I've seen this before and ain't no way that's 10grand, even overseas. That's gotta be way more, maybe i need to ship mine over there and have an overhaul like this. I'd gladly pay 10 grand for this level of restoration.
