New to me....2003 LS 430 Midnight Pine Pearl
#18
DO NOT POLISH IT AND CERAMIC COAT IT!@ I hope I am not too late. The original paint and coting is BULLET PROOF. My 2004 is still original and still beatufull as yours still is. DONT damage it with polishing and ceranic coating.

You are one very lucky LS430 owner. What a great opportunity. Even if you end up spending $5-7k on maintenance and upgrades you will have a very nice vehicle for years to come.
Suggest you invest in a new battery and clean the cable connections as these cars have some weird behavior when a battery is near its service cycle.
Keep us posted with your progress. Congratulations and welcome to Club Lexus.

If you are comfortable with the local Lexus dealership service department then you are lucky. Most of us search for experienced independent shops as most Lexus dealerships are very expensive and the techs rarely work on old vehicles.
But, you got such a deal on the original purchase you may not care. We acquired our ‘01 in ‘04 and have 20+ years of positive ownership. Best car to have by far.

The only qualified independent Lexus/Toyota mechanic that I know of is up in NH, to far to go from my home in MA. My father-in-law bought and serviced the car at this dealership, I have all the records of what he had done over the years so I am comfortable with them doing the work. They quoted me $1700 to do the work.
