No dome light on doors open. Dome light turn on OK manually
Hello LS people. After a car wash, unsure coincidence or not, my front dome light stays off when driver or passenger door opens. The light itself works fine as it lights up when I manually move the dome light switch to on. So not the fuse I guess. Any idea where shall I start problem solving? Thx.

Maybe the car wash folks while cleaning the interior accidentally hit the door light switch? I leave mine in the off position as it takes too long to dim to off….
Also, check the switch in the door jam as well….

Finally got chance to reply the post here. I checked the left trunk side fuse box, it's bone dry. No corrosion or leak can be found. The dome light does resume to work on its own; however, it's blinking as if in the horror movie. What's more can I check? What's the electrical diagram for our dome light? Thx. v. much.

There is a switch on your door frame. When the door is closed, the switch is pushed in. When the door is open, the switch is released and that is how the car tells the door is open. I would take a look at that switch.

Right. But I was thinking both front door switch failed at the exact same time after my car wash seems weird. The dome light dimming with single of both front doors open. Any ideas on further troubleshooting? Thx. for the replies.
