No not really its real faint, the LS is more noticable and the LX is about the same as the LS. This is funny I've never gave any of this a first or second thought and last night I went in the garage and started each one up. I figure this is normal since all three does it and I stay on top of all my services for each, and only the dealer sees them. Maybe because I drive the LS and the LX the most who nows..The GS is my zippy weekender.

Another update for those who are interested: I contacted lexus customer service and lexus of watertown asked me to drop off the car again on Tuesday and I just picked it up today. According to them, a tech from regional lexus stopped by and confirmed the issue. They also saw the same issue on 3 other 2004 LS430 they have at lexus of watertown. However they told me this is a characteristic of the engine/car. I responed to them that I am still disappointed to know that this issue is considered a characteristic of the car and that we're talking about top of the line lexus here and not a $2000 dollars car. Hopefully they will have a fix some day. For now I have to live with it.
On a separate note I still love and enjoy the car though...

Thanks for the update. Although I really am pleased with my LS 430 and the overall quality, the response from Lexus is sad to hear. This attitude is what soured me on American cars. I got tired of hearing "they all do it", it's within specs" and other BS to justify poor quality. Hopefully, Lexus is working on a fix, but it doesn't sound like it.
If anyone has any ideas on how we could present our concerns to Lexus in a unified manner maybe that would help. I also agree that you would not expect a rough idle in a car at this price. They do such a great job with this car that they have set the standard high. To me that's what makes the idle really stand out.
