Bluetooth Voice Activation
I finished pairing two Motorola V600's to the LS430. I also purchased the Motorola mobile phone tools with Bluetooth. It makes setting up and transferring/maintaining the phone book easy. But, it is a slow learning process, and watch out that you do not install the other bluetooth options without carefully reviewing what each does. I did by accident and it took over my network connection and I could not use my laptop on the house or company network. It took me an entire day to remove all the programs and have the windows 2000 software fix the network settings.
When the Lexus salesperson was showing me the car's features, I distinctly remember an explanation of the voice activation system being capable of being used to place calls. I remember very clearly his reference that it is best to use two words such as "Wife Home" to activate the system. I have looked in all the documentation and cannot see any reference. Was he wrong?

Cingular Motorola V600 & SE T637
I could not get an answer from Cingular or their rep with Motorola on the "QA Approved" so I returned the phones and decided to wait until things settle down if they ever do.
My son got a SonyEricson T637 that is bluetooth enabled. The phone pairing was good. The phonebook transfer was the complete book, not one at a time like the Moto V600, so this is still another bug for Moto.
The T637 reception with cingular was slightly better than the Mot V600 with my crude test. Also, the screen was much better too.

The K700, T637, T630, T616 are very flawless phones when it comes to pairing with bluetooth car kits. I enjoy using Sony Ericssons. However, I do believe with these series of Motorola phones coming out that the coming phones will be something to look forward to. Hopefully they will gain back the portion of the U.S. market they have lost over the years. Sony Ericsson has stepped up in their game.
