Do you!
I owned 2 Mercedes, an ML500 and a S430. I liked the way both automobiles drove. The only problem was problems i had with both cars. The thing that was so great about Mercedes was the treatment from top to bottom. I think thats why people continue to buy Benz's because of the treatment and class of the people. I'm not saying all Mercedes dealerships are the same, but the 2 here in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area are cream of the crop in my opinion. Its about what makes us happy more than anything and we should respect Beowulf's choice. Its his money and his choice. I have a friend who has had 2 benz's and the first broke down totaly at 40,000 miles and had every problem in the world, i mean it qualified as a lemon. My friend wrote a check for $15,000 grand more and got nothing off the price of the car and then purchased another car (SL500). By the way the first 2 cars were S500's. I asked him why he purchased another after all the troubles the Benz had caused him, and he said i just love Mercedes. At this point i had already left Benz and returned to Lexus. I came back to Lexus for reliability only, not looks or sportiness etc. I then understood why people go back to them after all the problems. CHOICE. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.

Yet I can't help but notice that you don't like the look of the new BMW M5. I on the other hand love it. The day it hit the dealer I will be there to drive that monster but if I decide to buy it will be a 2006 (I never buy the a car in it's 1st year of production). The only thing that kept me from buying one before is the fact that they on come with a manual tranny. I sure wish Lexus would have such a car then I would never look outside of the family.
Good luck with your new hot rod!

Might have been different if the dealer had been able to source a car with the sports suspension, but I was told that as of January 2004, that could no longer be done.
After usurping the MDX, she urged me to trade the Lexus in on something I really wanted, so I made the jump to an '05 E55 AMG last saturday. Really enjoyed the Lexus, but it just wasn't "us." I'll miss a lot of the conveniences (the M-B NAV sucks in comparison, no back-up camera, no bluetooth, etc.), but 469 HP & 516 lbs-ft of torque have a way of blurring your memory of such things.
Regardless, best to all and thanks for sharing info!

I swear, do some of the speed freaks on this forum and jsut in the world as a whole sit in their cars and jerk off while "pretending" to race others? Does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds make people sweaty?
Humans sure can pathetic....

Great Choice with the E55AMG! When you get a car like this, you can't even consider any Lexus model (since there is NOTHING even close this new baby of yours). Lexus what, Lexus who?
The E55AMG is such an amazing vehicle! Enjoy every SECOND of it! Congrats again!

I absolutely love the E55 AMG!!! It is beautiful and powerful!!! Please post up some pics of your ride.
Are you planning to mod it - perhaps bigger and wider wheels? Maybe a body kit? I can't even imagine how much hotter it would look with some awesome 20 inch HRE's and a subtle body kit. [drooling]
