Default 2004 Ultra Price , Good deal ?

First off , I'm new to this forum, but I have looked at previous posts and the members here seem to very Knowledgeable about this car, My wife just sold her 2001 BMW 740i Sport , we looked at everything you can think of to replace it with, another BMW she didnt like new body style,M-Benz S class to pricey and the E class to small, we looked at Jags, Audi, and even the new Chrylser 300 C , anyway now I'm rambling , She decided on a 2004 Ls430 with the custom lux package, Black with Ecru interior, when I went to pick it up they had just sold it, but was told of a trade coming in on a 2004 LS 430 with Ultra package with pre collision, my question is this I have friends who know the owner of this car now,he is and elderly man with lots of cash, trades every 8 to 12 months , car has 3500 miles on it, I just made deal on car for 57,500 but they are also adding XM sat , and chrome wheels, did I do OK or should I look elsewhere, can't finish deal till his new car comes in next week , Colors are Flint Mica with Black semi-aniline leather and antique walnut, wifes last cars all had black interiors which looked like new when sold , she was leaning towards the lighter color but was afraid that it would show dirt, wear and tear quicker any comments on this would also help . Thanks In Advance

first of all the lexus ls430 is an excellent choice, especially the 2004 models, they looks really really nice and they ride really really smooth, i would stick with the dark colored interior unless u are willing to take care of a light interior car which can be a pain, the only problem is black gets hot, but u cant see all the dirty spots on the carpet. before u jump into a used one, i would try to look at a brand new one and see how much below msrp u can get it for, if it is only a few grand below the used one i would jump on it, this way u can get the color that u want and all the options, also if u decide to finance it, i am sure your interest rate will be a tad lower which will pay for the difference in money. well good luck, be sure to keep us updated on your choice.

Your car was worth 72K 3500miles ago, so i say good deal. But try and get your dealer to put 18's on it since the '05s are out, and your in control of whats going on. Plus... tell them you want it to *look* an '05 since 18's are std on the 05's. Good luck and post some pics.
