Default Program to overide Nav?

Has anyone figured out how to program out or overide the navigation functions that you lose when the car is in motion? I dont like that, and would love to be able to use all functions when in motion. Mercedes and BMW do not do that...thanks

I absolutely hate it too. My portable GARMIN NAV unit (that I use in the other car and when renting) has an override feature. Lex should have one too. It's a pain in the ***.

Fully agree and wish Lexus would get on the ball here!

This is the one area that even my '01 MDX with Nav has got my new '04 LS430 put to shame. I really enjoy being able, or having my passenger able to make adjustments to a destination while moving. Had occasion to take son on a father-son camping trip this past weekend and used the MDX to haul all the gear & mud around and found the Nav there much easier to use. Even realized how nice the joy stick was to pan the screen in advance along a road instead of having to touch the screen while traveling.
