Thumbs up What would you pay?

What would you pay for a 2001 LS430 with ultra pkg? The car I'm looking at is Pearl White with 60k miles. No warranty (non-certified) Looks like a jewel and car fax reports no problems.

Anyone have a $$$ range for a good deal?

Thanks for your input!

i would say, no more than 37k - 38k out the door if it has everything you want, color, interior etc
trade in on those are like 28k to 30k so they're still making money off of you, but 37k is fair market value,

I agree, this is about right (37-38k). This seems like a lot, but the car will last forever. I paid about 40k for a 2001 with 40,000 miles and it did have a certified pre-owned warranty. I don't think I got a great deal, but likely a typical one.

Good Luck

It all depends on who/where you're buying from.

This past spring I bought a 2001 LS-430 UL with 38K miles from a private party, at a smaller metro area about 90 minutes south of where I live. The car had minor cosmetic issues, but it was in good shape, had a clean carfax, and was still under the Lexus new car warranty. I paid $36.5K.

One month ago, with about 1 month left on the Lexus warranty, I traded that car in for a new 2004 LS-430 modern lux, and I got $34.5K trade-in credit. I'm not sure what they might have sold my 2001 for, as the saleman told me when he made a follow-up call the week after the sale that one of the employees at the dealership bought my 2001.

Talking Thanks for the advice

Well, the advice confirms my purchase. I bought the car today and paid $35,250 for it. The car has only two very minor flaws. First, a few light scraches are on the rims, they might buff out. The other problem is on the drivers door. It is dented slightly. My wife couldn't even notice, but I saw it. I'll probably not doing anything about this since it is barely noticeable.

The car is in great cosmetic condition inside and out. I'm glad I got this one. I'll read the owners manual now beacuse there are alot of electronics that I'm not sure how they work. Such as the laser cruise control. I hope I can disable it.

Take a look. She is beautiful. I'll be back asking questions from the vets later I'm sure.

Looks nice!

About the door dent, get a dent repair place to fix it for you. Typically they charge by the dent and I'm told it works wonders.

On the laser cruise control, you can toggle it between traditional cruise and laser cruise, but the laser cruise works surprisingly well.
