In this months (December 2004) Kiplinger's Finance Magazine, 430 cars are reviewed and reported considering various factors. Some of these factors are resale value, cost of ownership, and more. For the 5th year in a row, the LS430 was ranked Best Car in its class. The class was the $40k and above range of automobiles. It was compared with other great cars like the MB E & S series, BMW 5, 6, and 7 series, Audi A6 & 8, the Acura RL, and many others. I think there were over 50m cars in this class that the LS430 beat.

If you have a chance to pick this issue up, it have interesting information. It provides the dealer invoice price, msrp, and edmunds.com average sale prices. Insurance rates, resale value in 3/5 yrs and much more. Great tabular data.

Kiplinger did an excellent job tabbing out the important comparison numbers in all the luxury vehicles for review. It's also nice to see that the LS is #1 (again) in the Best Car in Class category
