Not holding my breath . . . I'll be happy to see ~360-370hp
same here, i say around 360 to 370 too
another yr or two, with the 500 engine, that's when we will see 400hp, and that will be on the is500. together with the hybrid lexus will have the ls600h
The lack of power isn’t due to the Inline design. But V's are better for emission/gas mileage.
Yes, but it does help with the power to a certain extent. I have always like the V's. There is one exception though...The Subaru WRX STI. It's a 4 cylinder and packs 300HP!! I want one lol.
I thought Lexus/Toyota wasn't in the HP wars...but then again, the LS has always had substantial engine OOMPH!
I believe they are starting to realize that some of the more expensive cars in their class are raising the bar quite fast. I don't think they want to have a power monster, but someting that will stay within the range of the other cars. I think that Toyota focuses more on quality and ride more than anything. And yes the LS has always had that "oomph" lol. In a few years however, I believe they might start to think about power. --Just an opinion--

well even if they get a 500 engine in 2008 with 400hp, they are still not after the hp war still, coz' by then i am sure other brands like mb and bimmer they have even higher power cars already
