Thumbs up Thanks for the list

I finally have a small enough file to attach - sorry for a repeat.
Thanks for the list of voice commands. I, too just bought an LS430, 2003 with 13k5 miles. The dealer ordered a new manual set for me but it hasn't come, yet so I've been experimenting with the NAV and voice commands. I just try various phrases and a surprising number of times it works.

Now, I have a list to memorize.

Anyone (owner) can request a Lexus owners manual free of charge directly from Lexus.com, fyi.

Are the voice commands the same on the '01 LS430? The different versions might have different commands?

Default Owner's Manual

Yes, I know that I can order a manual myself, directly, but it is the principle of the thing: A CPO car should COME with one. And, they already said they had the order in for a new one for me.

I am glad you knew JB but perhaps others, who also read these messages, did not know they could order a free owners manual.

Perhaps you ought to mention the principle of it to your dealer instead of us.

I believe the NAVI voice commands are the same, but only the '04 and later LS 430 models have climate and audio voice commands.

My LS430 is an '03 and it responds to Audio voice commands. I'll have to go try the climate via voice; I never thought of it (not having the book...yet).

And, yes, sirrob11, you are right to call it to the attention of everybody (and my dealer is hearing about it).

Enjoy your new baby JB! I use the climate control voice commands the most, such as 68 degrees or the like and secondly "audio system off' when the kids are trying to say something or the cell phone (no BT) rings. 'Home' is also nice when I want to see how many miles away and about how long it will take to get home from a distant location. Now if I can only get the wife to follow commands...

Interesting, I read in http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...cleId=100629#9
that the 2004 was 'the first to have audio and voice commands' hmm looks like Edmunds was wrong.

Well, all I can say is that "she" chooses the FM band and raises and lowers volume, according to my request. And the car is definitely a 2003 model.
