Well I didn't really negotiate to get that deal. I got up and said I was going across the street to buy an M45. I think because I was a past customer had something to do with it too. Who knows.
This is by far the best car I have ever ever ever owned. The only thing I wish was that it had a little more low end torque, maybe tuned for more off the line performance without having to mash the floor (or at least have a button for that if possible). I also drove a sl55 amg before I drove the ls430 so that spoiled me a bit on the speed side.
By the way do I need to break in the engine? If so how do I do it? Do I drive slow for 1000 miles?

I'm surprised that you were able to get the price down to that! That seems like a fantastic deal! Then again JM Lexus is one of the largest dealers, right...? Maybe they have more leeway to negotiate.
Congratulations on your new LS! I hope you enjoy it, and your clients enjoy it too. With the NAVI, plus bluetooth, all the works...hidden storage spaces, other luxury amenities...!

You don't need to do a classic engine break in- but I would not use the cruise control for about 1000 miles or so. Keeps the engine from sitting at 1 rpm level for an extended period. Other than that- just take it kinda easy (don't baby it- just don't take it to the strip) for a little while and don't worry about changing the oil till 5k.
congrats again- great deal!
