Odometer, Can the display be turned off?
On my 01 LS430, I have not found a way to turn off the odometer display. I had hoped that I could "cycle through" some other displays and stop at the empty display where nothing is seen (like on the trip computer). Is that possible?

I hate that, plus i rather see how many miles i've driven since I last fueled.

I have no idea what type of gains it will provide them by knowing how much your cars worth.
Some people dont even know remotly how much my LS would be worth, or have any knowledge about any Lexus, yet they just NEEEEEEEED to know how much miles you have.
Why cant they just say nice car and leave it at that?

LOL, I like how you told him off
And some get more creative with the way they ask...

I'm not another member here, I have nothing to hide. I just find it asinine that people are so self-conscious to hide the fact thet their car might be getting on in miles. If you can't afford a newer car or just plain have something better to spend your money on ... who freaking cares?
This reminds me of the kids who put Type-S badges on non-S cars, BMW M badges on non-M cars, etc.
Don't be ashamed of who you are. It's unhealthy, and frankly anyone who is impressed by me having money is not someone that I'd want to impress in the first place.

Actually its not that. But you see, SOME people stare at your mileage HOPING its going to be 957,454 so they can feel better because they don’t have what you have. So it tortures this type of people not knowing how many miles you have on the car (it really does to some people), my exact goal. Its not about hiding high mileage or anything.
