I am considering a good lease deal on an 06 m45 for less than 500 a month. the question I have is what is the true trade in value on an 01 ultra 430 in excellent condition. I am thinking its no less than 34k with 47000 miles on it. is this realistic? its silver/black which I am told is the most popular combo.

Although your car is both nice looking and rare, i strongly doubt any dealer would offer you 34K. By no means do I think its not worth it, but you know how dealers are. They might give you 26-28K. Your best bet is to sell it on your own.

Db, It just sounds like you are just bored with the LS ? Didn't you just buy it last August? If trade it thru the dealer you'll take a big loss. A privates sale is always a pain since people will always haggle with you and gets your hopes up for nothing most of the time.

Keep the LS and buy some new toys for it. That'll change your mind. Get rid of those "econo rims" and put some new ones on. I'd be curious to know what the polished 18" Gs430 rims would look on your car. I think it would look hot.

youre right it would look much better with better rims. but I am paying over 600 a month for a car that is nosediving in value. I LOVE THIS CAR but I am not rich and it was a bit of a stretch to get into it. I only paid 39k at 4.99% for 60 months but if this deal I am working on comes thru I will have a loaded m45 for around 100 bucks a month less, actually more than a hundred on a lease. I am returning a call to the dealer in about an hour. he is paying off my car [30000] and getting me this lease for what is currently 484 a month for 24 months with the tech/journey packages on a non sport. this is a pretty good deal from what I have read. I may go to 36 months. we will see. if the gs430 wasnt so damned expensive I might try the same with lexus.

LoL, the local dealer has sent me close to 6 letters to try to get me into their office to try my LS. Added value of all the letters are close to $80bucs in starbucs gift cards

KBB has it at $31,930. Most dealers in my area will give you that.

The main problem with that car is it is an Infiniti. Any well-rounded car guru will tell you to avoid nissan/infiniti. But, if you are just shopping for a payment and not a car, have at it.

Lexus sells cars, not payments.

Now wouldn't your insurance go up to cover the newer Infiniti? So it would almost be a wash. Think about it if you keep the LS for 3 more years you'd pay about $20k+ toward the loan principal with about $10K to go and you'd have about 80K miles on it. Yes the value will drop but it levels off and I am pretty sure it won't be worth just $10K. Depending on the shape by then I'd say you could get $17K for it on a private sale, so you'd end up with $7K in your pocket. With the Infiniti after 3 years you'd have nothing but memories and maybe higher insurance points from 335hp . Oops I forgot, you don't go over the speed limit

it was a at a BMW dealer.. was looking at a 750Li Sport.. what a car 93k sticker.. They dont want to give more.. selling to a private party is such a pain.. Had a few people who where intersted but then they dont call back.. I think im going to keep the car for a few more months.. perhaps wait till the 650 bmw comes out..
