Default When is the 2006 (not the major redesign) LS arriving?

I know a major redesign of the LS is coming in 2007. However, I'm not asking about that. I'm interested in knowing when the 2006 will be coming out. The reason is, I'm thinking of buying a 2005 Lexus LS430. However, if it will be only a few more months before the 2006 arrives, I might prefer to wait for that.

In addition to wanting to know when it will be coming out, I'd be curious if anyone knows what refinements/improvements the 2006 is expected to have that the 2005 doesn't, and whether you think it will be worth the wait.

Any info will be greatly appreciated!

This is just speculation......but, the new models usually arrive sometime in September. My guess is that Lexus will raise the price on the base car by adding equipment as standard, such items as the Premium Package, Smart Access, 18" wheels and maybe more. My guess is that Lexus will want to raise the price of the base '06 to reduce the price difference for the '07 model. Again, just a guess, but I suspect the least expensive '06 on the dealers' lots will be over $60K.

usually the 2006 will arrive at dealership around early august time frame, and then they will start selling towards the end of aug. your best time frame to shoot for 05 and still get decent choice is end of july imho

and since the new LS will be out by end of next yr, i dont think they will waste time putting new stuff on this car

If I were them, and I were going to put some new "goodies" on a totally reworked model, I would put them in the outgoing model first, if possible. Then you can try them out without the risk of getting a bad first review on a new model.

But, the flip to that is the goodies may lessen the older model owner's desire for the new model, which is what they always hope for.
