Service Advice
I now have less than 5000 miles on my '04 LS430 in 12 months. I had my last service 6 months ago at 3500 miles, when all recommended service was done and now my car is due for its 10,000 miles/12 month service. I will definitely have the oil service done, but I doubt that any other maintenance usually performed by the dealer at that interval is needed. My only concern is maintaining the factory warranty. Are there any maintenance items other than an oil & filter change that I should have them do to?
There are 2 other items that I need to have done. The heat shield between the exhaust and the wheel well on the passenger side rear is loose and rattles and I want the dealer to perform the TSB for the transmission "lurch".
I don't put a lot of miles on my car, but it's not because I don't enjoy driving it. It still amazes me everytime I get behind the wheel.
Thanks,
Mike

Low mileage too!
Mike;
I am in the same situation. I have low mileage on both my LS-UL and SC 430. I follow the Monthly service schedule ie, 6,12,18,24,36 etc. A copy of which is in the CL library.
In answer to your question I have performed whatever services are recommended at each interval. I do that for two reasons1) I want to maintain my investment according to Lexus standards and 2) These vehicles are so expensive that it is heretical to not follow recommended service criteria.
That said, if you want to save some money the services do not have to be performed at a Lexus dealer.
Good Luck
