Get the car with the discount, and then sell it in two years to get the LS460 when you're ready.

The discount already takes care of the car's depreciation just because it's a 2005. You should "break even" when you sell it.

You you're dead set on the LS600h already ?
Personally, I won't mind a GS600h that can run with a E55.

I say DON"T do it. You buy the current model LS now and when the new style LS comes out, it instantly becomes obsolete compared to the new one and the value drops signifigantly. Even though it may be one year old or 2 the value will sharply drop since it is no longer the "current" style. You'd be better off getting the 2006 GS430 which probably won't change for the next 4+ years. The trade in will be much better than an "old looking" 2006 LS I guarantee it!!!

For example I've been looking at E55's. I can find old style 2002 (350hp) for around a reasonable high $30K compared to the current style 2003 with supercharger (469hp) for atleast $58K and up!!!
