Default New lexus and Bluetooth compatibility

Took delivery of my new 05 LS430 Friday. Despite having downloaded new software to my blackberry, 7100t, I cannot maintain a connections. The guys at the dealership said it should be ok. It is bluetooth enabled and does recognize the navigation system as a device.

Any thoughts or do I need to switch cell phone companies and phones, again? I like the blackberry features, the email keeps me in touch. I know only the phone should work in the car, but..............

I've got a BB 7520 with Nextel and have been connected for a while. Only issue for me is the microphone in the LS seems to distort my voice so the listener struggles. Same thing with the Nav so its the system, not my accent, and others have same issue in my car too.

Othen item is downloading address book but my dealer helped with that using another cell phone to do it.

I also have the 7100T. Go into the SETTINGS section of the phone when you have bluetooth turned on. You should see an entry for the car. Click on that and then choose Device Properties. Make sure the TRUSTED option is YES. Otherwise it will always ask you to connect when you get in the car. I have found that the phone connects better when you already have the BT turned on and then get in and start the car.

Once mine connects it stays pretty solid. Good luck!!

well done. The trusted trick did the trick!

Wish that blackberry stored the addresses on the sim card. Unfortunately, no way to easily get them into the nav system using the blackberry. I guess it will not wireless transfer the address book.

I was wondering do you know when the SC430 started coming with bluetooth or has it always had it?
