Automatic Windshield Wipers
Has anyone with a 2001 LS 430 Ultra had problems with their automatic windshield wipers going on when it's hot and no rain?

Try it
It never hurts to try... You might just show up and talk to a service advisor about the issue. I think Lexus always has room to do little things "on the side". If you ask for this freebie, tell us the outcome.

Dealer says that Auto Windshield Wipers are Normal
I took my 2001 LS430 to Lexus of Sacramento and they said that the automatic wipers are functioning normally. They referred me to page 29 of the owner's manual where it states that if the temperature on the sensor is over 176 degrees or less than 14 degrees the wipers may go on even though there is no moisture present on the windshield. They said the solution was to remove the wipers from the automatic mode.
