Default during the day can u change the nav screen to night time?

yes, hit the option button and go from there. Don't know why you will want to do that...looks like crap during the daytime.

i think the black looks cool, especially w/ my black interior and dark tints. i have done the option's button and all it allows me to do is change brightness, not the actual color. but at night if i hit the option button it than allows me to put it on "daytime" screen.

You can change color of the menus.

As for 'Night Mode' -- the settings are tied to the instrument panel brightness. If you set the instrument panel brightness to MAX high, Day mode stays on all the time (and the 'Night mode' menu option disappears), if set on MAX low, NIght mode stays on...

Yes but that only applies to night time, as the car has sensors to recognize daylight. So if there isnt something in the options menu, you might not be able too, unless you block the light sensor, and turn on your parking/headlights during the day.

Thanks for the clarification. So it only works on Day mode. But I can see why an all-black interior would look good with Night mode always on...
