Big Paint Chip
First, we are very happy with my wife's 05 Silver LS430. Definitely, one of the best cars we have owned, if not the best.
Recently, her car got a farily big size paint chip--circular with approximately .2 inch in diameter--on her front right fender near the hood.
What would be the best way to deal with it?
Thanks,
Kevin

I would ask your dealer who they use to touch up the used cars they sell. I usually see these guys with the tiny airbrush tools doing work on bumpers, etc. Ask to see some of their work before you commit. If you get a good touch up guy, only you will know it's there. Good luck!

Bummer. You can have them, or do it yourself, use touchup paint, but it won't totally hide it. Only way to do that is go to a regular body shop and pay over a thousand as they have to paint a really large area. At least that was my experience. I hope you ahve better luck. Great car, enjoy.

you are lucky that you found only one chip. I got my LS430 with .25" diameter when it was new I discovered it a day later and within 2 months I had 20 or 30 more 6 months later started to develop rust around the sunroof a year later found rust on the roof trims and some other places.
