OK, I've had my '04 LS430 for almost 2 years now and never bothered to figure out "the Bluetooth thing". My brother, however, just leased an Audi A8 that has it and he bot a Motorola Verizon phone that works great with it. He was in my car this morning and we were trying to figure out how to set my LS up with it....as I might finally get with the program and go Bluetooth.
First we played with all the buttons but no luck. Then I looked in the books and couldn't find ANYTHING on "phone" or "Bluetooth". Yet I know from your discussions here that it has it.
So where do I begin? Can someone walk me thru some simple steps to get this party started? Thanks! (And the Nav "override" is the greatest...thanks again for posting that).

Daryll - Go to this site and pick either the phone you have or one that is close and you should be able to get started. I'm assuming, of course, that you have a BT enabled phone, right?

Mine works fine - outgoing calls take a while to sync up with the screen/speaker in the car but incoming calls work great.

Click on Options>Information>Telephone.
There should be a settings button.
There, you need to activate bluetooth. Press 'Add Phone'
---a passkey code will be shown, enter this into your BT-enabled phone.
I got this from page 117 of the voluminous Navigation System manual.
Good luck!

In the Options>Information>Telephone>Settings there is a 'transfer phone book ' option. When you select that, you then can go to your V3 and select a phonebook entry to transfer. You need to do this one entry at a time.

Thanks for the bluetooth tip! I tried it today and it worked fine for the first couple of entries.
However subsequent attempts resulted in the last entry repeating itself???
I will try again later this week. The phone is a Moto Razr v3.

My Nextel is a Motorola i605. I've been able to make calls by following the instructions in the manual for my 04 LS but not able to receive. Has anyone had success with that phone?
