Pieces missing under car ?
Hi all -
I have had my 2001 LS for just under a year. It is a CPO car. I had it on a friend's lift today to do an oil change and noticed that there are areas under the car that look like there should be plastic shields covering them. There are similar pieces on the other side of the car. Both missing pieces are on the passenger side of the car. One is a long slim piece that appears to have covered two tubes (fuel or brake lines) just to the passenger side of the exhaust pipes. The other piece is further forward, just behind the passenger front wheel. Also, there are pieces that look like aluminum shields near the exhaust that look crumpled. I'm guessing that the previous owner did some 4X4'ing. It rides and sounds great. I wonder if the shields would make the car even quieter?
I know that they were originally there for a purpose. Should this have been corrected when they made it a CPO? I will bring to my dealer this week.
