MY 2001-03 LS430 Euro Grill finally arrived.
Guys after 6 months of waiting and $475 spent, it finally arrived. It came in a big box with Japanese writing on it. The grill brand is by "Admiration." I eagerly opened the box and had some mixed reactions right away. First off the quality. I was pretty disappointed it was not metal. It is made of thin ABS plastic that is chrome plated. The cheap plastic black mesh screen is fastened by several screws screwed into a foam pad in the back of the grill. With the instructions written in Japanese, I had to guess on the installation. It was pretty easy to figure out. The factory chrome border of the grill is used, the inner plastic part of the stock grill with the emblem comes off by unscrewing 6 screws and the euro chrome "insert" pops in and is fastened on using the included screws into the stock holes.
I am happy with the exclusive look. It really does look like an S Class now since there is no factory emblem. I have a feeling alot of people will now think that. I plan to rebuild it by changing out the plastic mesh for a thicker metal one or a thick "honey comb" type screen to improve the look and stability and or maybe fill in behind the grill with some plastic epoxy to make it more tougher.
In conclusion, I like the look but quality wise it's not worth $500. But I realize it's not made in the states and shipping it probably cost alot and that why the seller set it at that price. Who know how much the seller got buying it at cost and reselling it to me, but I think an ideal price would be $385.

It's kind of a bummer to hear that the quality isn't up to Lexus standards... I might just leave it off or sell it if I don't like it.
