Overall, there will always be resemblance, simply because luxury cars by probability will share *some* styling features. But if you actually look closely, the 7 Series is pretty bloated, and not as smooth or sleek as the LF-Sh. Furthermore, the 5 Series I always thought looked like a Leus in the first place, especially with the stretched headlights.

As I've said before, I just hope the real thing doesn't look too generic the way that almost every other Japanese car is looking. I like the way the current LS looks like nothing else, and I dislike the way the GS and IS are so similar to the Acura RL and a bunch of other generic-looking sedans that you have to wait until they are within 50 yards to know what you're looking at. To me, the new GS looks like an RL or 115% scale Accord. I hope they don't genericize the LS.

GS & IS look so similar to the RL ?? I don't see that at all
I do agree that the new LS should at least have some distinctive styling cues that makes it stand out a little, but in a classy way, not like some of the yucky Bangle bimmers . . .

Interesting, Motor Trend says that the rear window kink reminds them of the RX...calling it a Lexus trademark of sorts. I think the kink reminds me of the 1G and 2G LS as well.
