Default Sad day.....Sold my 2001 LS430

I had to sacrifice and let go the finest luxury automobie in the world so I can fully focus on getting my first home and deal with all the financial responsibilities that may arise. The price for a single family home is absolutely ridiculious in the northeast, especially Boston. I probabIy could have budgeted the Lexus in but I have a "regular" car that get me to A and B. Without the Lexus I will be saving approx $900 a month total having not to deal with a car note, insurance, gas for a car that stayed sheltered for most of the winter. I don't even drive it in the rain!!
I owned it for a year and it was problem free the whole time. I am truly convinced on the solid reliability reputation Lexus is known for. I was able to sell it with stock 17's for $27,500 to a friend. It was the sport version with navigation with only 30K exact miles in absoulute show room condition.

The past few days have been extremely tough trying to shy away from my #1 hobby. I acutally went to a car dealership a couple days later to jump into a 2001 Audi A6 4.2, but someone bought it. It was probably for the best. I have to fight all urges to get another luxury car and remain debt free till the house purchase.

BTW, I have 2 sets of wheels in mint condition and the admiration grill up for sale in the classified section.....and yes there are ACTUAL PICS this time

That sucks - but home ownership will be worth it! Probably one of the few things in life that will increase in value over time.

I just bought my first place last May and also paid for a wedding/honeymoon in November. Money is tight but it's still worth it!

I've never spent that much per month on a car, but I ended up getting a used LS400 recently which saved me some money per month (payments are under $300/mo.)

Maybe if you're buddy keeps your LS in good shape you can buy it back a couple of years down the road...OR get yourself a newer one.

The Audis are nice cars, but I'd question the reliability. Good luck with whatever you end up with!

dont worry man the house is an investment that will most likely grow over time and that will work in your benefit when you go to purchase that 460 in a couple of years

I agree, it meant to happen for the better, and who knows in a couple of years it can be the LS460, or the LS460L, better yet the LS600hL...ohhhh yeaaahh!!!!.... .....Remember one thing....."No Struggle, No Success!"......

A home will be part of great 401K investement if you live in CA or NE. A Lexus isn't.

Yea, house prices always go up and up and up forever. Housing markets are recession proof. J/K.
The NE housing market is so crazy now, it makes it hard to have the other things in life like the LS430. Sorry

Can you tell me more about your wheels?
