Painting LS430 Wheels

Has anyone painted their existing LS430 wheels to match the color of their car? I'm considering painting my 17" factory wheels white on the insides of the spokes. They'd still be mostly silver, but with white accents. Wondered if anyone has done this and if this might be a DIY project with a can of spray paint and some tape?
