Hi everyone,
First time poster here. I just bought an iPod and want to attach it to my 2002 LS430. I've read where VAIS has a good product. Any experience with that? Any other recommendations? What's the best way to mount the iPod?
Thanks!
Scott

I helped my friend install the VAISTECH in her Prius and I have one in a box for my LS (when I get around to pulling apart the dash). Once you connect the ipod it can be hidden in the glovebox; there is no need to mount it where its visible as it can be controlled entirely from the stock headunit. i don't know how much info you will get on a non-navi system however...and once you plug in the ipod the screen displays the Vaistech logo. You can change it to manual mode but you won't get the track info up on the navi screen (but the track skip buttons still work).
So far in the Prius it worked exactly as advertised, and the unit seemed well put together. The guys at VAISTECH also seem to be really helpful and know their stuff.
Someone else on these forums put the VAIS (an older model) into their '01 LS and had no issues. Its expensive but the sound quality is far better than an FM or cassette based solution. The sound in the Prius was fantastic....I can't wait to put it into the LS....
