Anyone know how to customize the smartkeys on our 06 LS430 so that all the doors unlock when I grab the handle? It's a bit annoying to get into the car then manually press the unlock button on the door.

I asked the dealership to change the settings but they stated that it was not possible with the smartkey, so they changed the programming on the remote to unlock all doors with a single click of the fob.

Of course it's possible. We've had our dealer perform that for us. There is a pamphlet called "Lexus Personalized Settings" specifically for the LS430 that shows you all the possible options you can change. So my suggestion would be to go to a different dealership if you can.

I did the same for my '05 LS-430. Look in the driver's manual, it explains how to set the key fob to unlock all the doors. By pushing the correct buttons you cycle thru the door unlocking options. Once they are set for the key fob, the smartkey will act the same.

Heh, the directions are right there on page 9 in the main manual! Studied the navi manual, and only skimmed the main manual. Next time I'll RTFM
