I bot a transmitter/charger hickey called ROADTRIP at BestBuy (and I bot one for my daughter's car at Staples) for under $100. Works GREAT. I recommend you not futz with the wiring and just get a ROADTRIP.

Thanks for the info, but how is the sound quality. I have heard the lighter/charger adapters give poor sound due to it uses a FM modulator for system to operate.

I heard that too but find it to be untrue. Sound quality is fine. I admit that I am not an audiophile, but really you should try it. Heck, both BestBuy and Staples will refund your money. Try it FIRST before going the "wired-in" route. Also, you do have to play with the frequencies. I find that here in Pittsburgh, 100.3 works best.

Do you have nav in your car? They say with nav & 6 disc changer, there are some limitations. If there are not any. I'm ordering ASAP!!!!!

actually, if you check the installation section, it states units available for 00 to 06 ls's, with only 1 limitation (my guess is for cd applications).

I have this one on the way - I take it the only limitation is you lose the 6 disc changer with the Dice? If so, who cares! They're selling for $69 on ebay (Sorry Viastech)...

Hit those VAIStech guys on the last Group Buy and tell them you want to get in line for the next one, they make a harness to hard wire iPods.
