I paid a lot, but car prices in Hawaii are generally high because of shipping fees and it being harder to find specific used cars, and even if I did overpay I don't mind, i really love my LS!
My 2001 UL Pearl White/Ecru with 110k miles (and a decent amount of money in aftermarket stuff) I paid $10k plus traded my 1998 gs300 (decent condition, but had a few minor problems like slow oil leak and intermittant steering wheel vibration).

I just picked up my 2002 LS430 today. Its black In and out with Nav and ML. It has 125,000 on it but looks and runs like brand new. The guy I bought it from gave me a stack of receipts from all the work he ever had done. It has been serviced at Lexus since day one. Every recommended maintenance was done including the 120,000 mile which cost around $2,500. Had the timing belt and water pump done, valves adjusted, Y-pipe and mufflers replaced, sub woofer, trunk and hood struts etc, etc. I don't know how but the car looks like it was never sat in. Every single option works perfect I got it for $11,000. I love it.

Just picked up an 04 CL Silver on Ecru from Sewell in Ft. Worth for $22,800. The car only has 62,000 miles and looks immaculate. There was a stain of sorts on the Alcantara by the driver visor but with my instruction, the Lexus dealer was able to get it right out. He is driving it to me on Wednesday. Included in my $22 err $23K investment was an update to the Navigation software, the felt box and free delivery to San Antonio.

14,000 miles? That mean it only had the oil changed twice and was hardly broken in. If that's correct you got a super deal for a car that listed for $71,000 and was virtually a new car.

If you think about it that way (and I did!), $30k does seem like a steal. According to the car's service history, it had three oil changes before 10,4xx miles, including the 5k mile service, then the 15k mile service at 12,4xx miles. I've since had the 60k mile service done due to the car's age.
