I'm trying to decided which one to get. I'd love to see any pics you guys/gals have with this unit in action. The only picture I can find so far is from an '01 install - will this look any different on an 04?



I'd love to know if there's a screen that shows song / album / artist / year etc. or atleast show a directory listing so I can browse up and down by playlist folder. Do all of these resume after you shut the car off and get back in? I spoke to a gentleman today from Vaistech who was very helpful, but I'd love to see screenshots of all of these if you guys don't mind!

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me! I pick up my 04 430 in about 31 hours!

I just intalled my SLI and in my 04 (version 4 I believe) NAV, it is very similar to the picture you posted. When the "Title Off" button is pressed, then it goes into a "folder mode' up to 13 on mine.

You also need to make a "PLAYLIST" for it to recognize the folder and you are allowed 99 Playlists with up to 99 songs per playlist.

When you say "up to 13" on mine, is that because you have 13 playlists? Sorry if that's a silly question. How many folders are displayed at once, and you can page up and down?

Also, let's say I create the following playlists on my Ipod:

Playlist 1 - Rock
Playlist 2 - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Playlist 3 - Parliment, Funkadelic, George Clinton

Would they be displayed as "Playlist 1" or some limited, truncated version of the folder names? Also, will it display any extended id3 information such as year, genre, etc?

So, is this picture accurate for an '04 with NAV and the SLI IPod Kit?



I don't have a "Title" button when using the 6 disc changer, nor does the 6 disc changer read CD text...can you verify one way or the other?

Also, is it 99 playlists with 99 songs or 99 playlists with 999 songs?

It's 99 Playlist with UNLIMITED (999) songs per playlist...I only use my MD Changer (VAISTECH) these days and it's been flawless so far..
