a little bit... You can get an ultra with 80k+ for that price. Look at ebay.

My friend just bought an 01 ultra with 32k for 25g's. he got lucky cause the dealer wanted 30k but he had cash so the dealer let it go for that price.

Unless you're really in love with the backseat bells & whistles, I'd suggest getting an 04+ model with fewer options. The car is quicker, 6 speed vs. 5, updated NAV, updated headlights/taillights, backup camera, bluetooth. I drove a few 01 Ultra's and 03 non Ultras and almost bought an 01 but I'm so glad I went with an 04.
I initially wanted an ultra, but my wife asked me if it was worth it getting a car 3 years older for the main option I wanted - the adaptive radar cruise control. She said our son's child seat would be in the center of the rear blocking the rear seat controls for a long time anyway (he's 5 months old). I agreed and got an 04.

Just my .02

You are correct. Even though the UL feels like a different car completely, but the '04's are indeed impressive, and the better choice if i had to choose between the two.

However, '04 are a bit pricey... poster is looking for something in the $20-$23K range.

I found an 01 with 122k for 20kobo.It was hit in the rear though but has been fixed.I am asking him about the service records.I hope to bring him down to 18k for an 01 ul, might not be too bad.Data controller and some ac wheels, and Im set.

MAKE SURE THERE WASNT any frame damage. Because that can cause so much trouble for you, like air leaks, creeks, alignment issues, drivablity and noises that will make you hate it.

look at floridafine cars.com. I was talking to a guy named Steven there. I did not buy one from him. (Found one with less miles and was looking to spend in the high $20's.)But he has two southern LS Ultra's in the lower $2o's. They have high 60's in mileage, but they they look good.
