Question Tires for my 2004 LS430?

Part of the deal of my 2004 LS430 was a new set of tires - BF Goodrich Traction T/A P255/55R17 95T M+S tires were put on the front and back.

And these good tires for general driving?

Anyone? I'm new to a LS430 and don't know what's considered a "good tire" for it (or even stock heh)

Are you sure about the size? I think it should be 225s. I had the Traction T/As on a Volvo beater. They were okay for that car and the way I used it, but I'd be pushing for a set of Michelins, or at least Bridgestones for the LS if I were you. T/As might be okay, but that's an ~$85 tire, which is a little low-end for an LS, assuming that you generally get what you pay for in a tire. FWIW, I can tell you that the Bridgestone ER33s that came on my LS were SILENT on the road. Not handling stars, of course, but VERY quiet and comfortable.

Yah my bad - they're 225's. That was a typo - sorry.

Would there be a big sound difference between the ER33's and the Goodrich Tractions?

The tires were put on by the guy who sold the car...

I'm not sure, but I don't find the T/As the least bit loud on the Volvo, so I'd think that they'd be very quiet on the LS.
